Annual cultural event of Shankari Natyasthal, started in year 2011, is a tribute to gems of composers from ancient 12th century such as Bharata Muni, Ramadasa, Purandara Dasa, Annamacharya, Jayadeva, Kshetrayya, Tulsidas, medieval age poets like Tyagaraja, Muthuswami Dikshitar, Shyama Sastry, Maharaja Swati Tirunal, Narayana Theertha, Siddhendra Yogi, Meera Bai, Oothukaad Venkata Subbaiyer to the present age contemporary musician composers like Muthaiah Bhagavatar, Mysore Vasudevacharya, Madhurai Mani Iyer, GNB, Maharajapuram Santhanam, Lalgudi G Jayaraman, Dr. Balamurali Krishna and so on.
Compositions of more than 40 Vãggéyakãras are performed by more than 100 students of Shankari Natyasthal through Geetam, Vadyam and Nrityam - Vocal, Violin and Kuchipudi Dance. A non-stop, uninterrupted marathon of performances, also includes narration of biographies and audio-visual presentation.
